Operation Round-Up

Food, shelter, medical, & clothing are essentialWith your help, needy families in your community can find emergency food, shelter, disaster relief, or other type of assistance during a personal crisis.

With just a few cents per month, you can help provide needed funding for local charitable organizations.

Participation in PRECO's “Operation Round Up” program can even provide worthy students with college scholarship funds.

Through this voluntary program, participating PRECO member/consumers donate a small amount to the Operation Round Up Foundation with each monthly electric bill.

Here’s how it works: Each month your electric bill is “rounded up” to the next whole dollar, with an average annual personal contribution of around six dollars. Your contributions, combined with those of your friends, neighbors, and other PRECO members, combine to create a pool of funds which become a lifeline to meet community needs.

Initially, every new member is entered into the program, however, participation is not mandatory. If you choose not to participate in the program, you may opt out at any time. Your participation status may be changed by simply contacting PRECO.

Operation Round Up is governed by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, which is made up of nine of your fellow PRECO members. Directors serve on a voluntary basis, on their own time, and only receive a small mileage reimbursement to attend board meetings.

If you are an individual in need of assistance, Operation Round Up may be able to assist. If your charitable organization or community service group could better serve others in our local community with support from Operation Round Up, we welcome the opportunity.
