Listed below are some of the frequently asked questions regarding PRECO’s non-profit Operation Round-Up Foundation program.

What is Operation Round-Up?

It is a voluntary program rounding PRECO member's electric bill to the next whole dollar. These Foundation funds are then used to help qualified individuals, families and organizations in PRECO’s local 10 county service territory.

How does it work?

Members who wish to participate contribute a few cents that it takes to reach the next whole dollar into a separate fund. These monies are controlled by the Foundation's independent and voluntary Board of Directors.

Who can apply?

Individuals, families and/or organizations in PRECO’s 10 county service area are eligible to receive funds from Operation Round-Up Foundation. PRECO’s website, www.preco.coop, has downloadable applications for individuals, families and organizations, and for individuals seeking college scholarship assistance.

What are some possible uses for these funds?

The Operation Round Up Foundation Funds can be requested for such causes as emergency assistance, disaster relief, service projects, local charities, health needs, college scholarships, etc.

How do I sign up to participate in this worth while project?

Each PRECO member is automatically included in the Operation Round Up Foundation program, however, participation is voluntary. PRECO members may opt out at any time by contacting PRECO at 800-282-3824.

Why does PRECO offer this program?

PRECO receives no financial benefit from this program, but rather is only the point of collection for this non-profit Foundation. Your cooperative facilitates this program as a way of fulling our corporate vision of, “Leadership focused on reliability, members, and community” and the Foundation also helps us acheive the mission of improving the quality of life for our local communities we serve.
